The UIW Job and Internship Fair was a huge success with over 40 vendors. Students were able to interact with various employers and give them their résumés. Some of the employers who attended this event were the City of San Antonio and Wells Fargo. UIWTV Reporter Eva Mendez interviewed a couple of students and a Wells Fargo representative and talked about this event.
By UIWTV STAFF Affording UIW was held at the university’s library auditorium on Thurday, March 21, 2013. This seminar was available for all incoming students who had questions regarding financial assistance. Don’t forget to apply for FASFA before the deadline date!
By UIWTV Staff The Hats Off to Lila Fashion Show hosted by UIW in the Skyroom in honor to Lila Bath’s fashion career, celebrated what would have been her 100th year. During the show many of UIW students from out fashion department were inspired by some of Lila Bath’s creations that they created by using their own designs with a little bit of Lila’s touch. Sodexo hosted a 90′s “retro pop” alternate menu in order to spice up the normal cafe lunch. A variety of foods such as popcorn, chili-n-cheese-dogs, pretzels ice cream sundaes and floats were all available for diners. And for an extra measure of fun, they brought out the karaoke machine!!
UIW’s Alumni Association hosted their 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year, the event brought in 615 kids and that’s not counting their families and the UIW alumni. Certainly seems like the hunt was a success and children went home with plenty of goodies and great memories.
